Harry Potter & Billions Stars’ New Comedy Is Already Ruling Streaming Charts

A new comedy featuring familiar faces from Harry Potter and Billions has quietly become the most-watched movie on HBO Max. The period spoof, Fackham Hall, has found its audience at home after a modest debut in cinemas late last year.

Fackham Hall tops HBO Max streaming charts

According to FlixPatrol, Fackham Hall has claimed the top spot on HBO Max’s domestic streaming chart just days after news broke that Quentin Tarantino is developing a British stage farce. While Tarantino isn’t directly involved with this project, audiences eager for that brand of comedic chaos are flocking to this film instead.

The movie, which was released in theaters back in December 2025, barely made a ripple at the box office with reportedly around $2 million in gross receipts. However, its journey to streaming has told a completely different story. Fackham Hall streaming numbers have propelled it past heavy hitters like John Wick: Chapter 4, Spider-Man, and The 40-Year-Old Virgin on the domestic HBO Max roster.

Directed by Jim O’Hanlon, the film imagines what happens when an unexpected murder takes place in the manor, leaving assembled wedding guests as the primary suspects. Critics have embraced the concept, with the movie holding a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Damian Lewis and Tom Felton anchor a cast that blends period drama with playful parody. They’re joined by Thomasin McKenzie, Katherine Waterston, and Ben Radcliffe in what one critic described as a mashup of Downton Abbey’s upstairs-downstairs dynamic, Bridgerton’s campy sensibility, and Knives Out’s murder mystery structure.

For now, Fackham Hall proves that theatrical disappointment doesn’t prevent streaming glory. The current HBO Max top 10 also includes Dead of Winter, Happy Death Day, Crazy Stupid Love, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, and both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, alongside V for Vendetta, but it’s the period parody that’s wearing the crown currently.
