Sony Pictures Ireland shared a new batch of set photos from the upcoming Jumanji sequel on X, writing, “Lately in #Jumanji… Coming to cinemas Christmas 2026!” The images show Karen Gillan in costume as Ruby Roundhouse posing beside a large nutcracker decoration and a Christmas tree set piece.
Additional photos show cast and crew during filming, including a behind-the-scenes group selfie and Kevin Hart posing with stunt doubles wearing explorer-style outfits while standing together in an alleyway set.
The photos also reveal production elements including artificial snow, lighting equipment, and city backlot surroundings used during filming. The images highlight ongoing production activity as filming continues on the upcoming installment.
Dwayne Johnson also shared a video from the set on X that showed him joking with Kevin Hart during filming. In the post, Johnson wrote, “I love my son @KevinHart4real with all my heart but when he gets whiny about his carseat, I just want to slap his stupid little lips clean off his annoying punchable face,” alongside the hashtags “#onset #jumanji #daddyissues #toomuchfun.”

Jake Kasdan directs the untitled sequel to Jumanji: The Next Level. Kasdan co-wrote the script with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. The film is based on Jumanji by Chris Van Allsburg and produced by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Matt Tolmach, and Kasdan.
Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Alex Wolff, and Morgan Turner reprise their roles. Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Danny DeVito, Rhys Darby, Bebe Neuwirth, and Lamorne Morris also return. Sony Pictures Releasing will release the film in the United States on December 11, 2026.
