Marvel Actor Posts The Punisher Series Photo, Fans Think It Means Only 1 Thing
An actor from Netflix’s Marvel universe recently fueled speculation about their character’s return in the MCU with a cryptic Instagram post. So far, several major characters from the franchise have reprised their roles. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and a majority of his supporting cast, including Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, starred in Daredevil: Born Again. Meanwhile, Krysten Ritter is coming back as Jessica Jones in the show’s second season.
Amber Rose Revah posts Dinah Madani photo, fans react
Amber Rose Revah, who plays Dinah Madani in Netflix’s Marvel series The Punisher, now streaming on Disney+, recently shared a picture of her character on Instagram. However, the actress kept things mysterious by not adding a caption to her post.
Fans have since reacted to the post in a variety of ways, with some speculating about whether Madani was returning for The Punisher special presentation and asking Revah to reprise her role.
A fan asked, “Coming back in brand new day or punisher series?” Meanwhile, another speculated, “Madani is most likely gonna be back in the special which is kinda dope.” “We need Madani back to reunite with Frank,” yet another fan wrote.
There is currently no official confirmation from Marvel Studios on whether Revah’s Madani will be appearing in the Punisher special presentation or other future MCU projects. However, it would make sense for her to show up in the former, considering her strong ties to the titular character.
So far, the only confirmed cast member returning from The Punisher for the special, besides Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, is Jason R. Moore’s Curtis Hoyle.
Madani played a major role in The Punisher series. She was initially a Homeland Security agent investigating the death of her partner and Frank Castle’s connection to it. During this time, she entered a relationship with Castle’s friend Billy Russo, eventually learning of his and his superior William Rawlins’ role in her partner’s death. She subsequently joined forces with Castle and exposed Russo and Rawlin’s illegal activities under Operation Cerebrus, during which she survived a shot to her head from Russo.
In Season 2, she embarked on a revenge campaign against Russo, again joining forces with Castle in the process. At the end of the series, she resigned from Homeland Security and joined the CIA.
