A suspect fired multiple shots at Rihanna’s home in Beverly Hills on Sunday afternoon while the singer was inside the property, according to reports from Entertainment Weekly and the Los Angeles Times. A representative for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the suspect directed gunfire toward the gate of the residence on the 9500 block of Heather Road in the Beverly Crest area. Police said the incident occurred at about 1:20 p.m.

Authorities said a suspect fired several rounds from a vehicle positioned across the street from the property. Police radio traffic stated that “approximately 10 shots” were fired toward the residence from across the street. According to NBC4 Los Angeles, the suspect allegedly fired seven to nine rounds from an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle. No injuries were immediately reported there.

Rihanna was reportedly home at the time of the shooting but remained unharmed. Police confirmed that the incident did not injure anyone inside the residence. Officers detained a 30-year-old woman after the shooting, the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday. The outlet cited a law enforcement source familiar with the incident.

Officers who responded to the report said the suspect fired the shots toward the gate of the property before fleeing the area. Police dispatch audio indicated that a vehicle parked across the street from the entrance to the home was the source of the gunfire. Authorities later located the suspect’s vehicle and arrested the driver at a nearby shopping center parking lot.

Rihanna purchased the Beverly Hills property in 2021 for $13.8 million. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate spans about 7,600 square feet and is located in a neighborhood that includes homes owned by musicians Mariah Carey and Madonna. Police and representatives for Rihanna did not immediately respond to requests for comment following the shooting incident on Sunday afternoon.
