Guy Pearce & DeWanda Wise’s 2025 Western Movie Out Today on Hulu

A 2025 supernatural Western film starring Guy Pearce and DeWanda Wise is officially available to stream on Netflix beginning today.

Killing Faith, the movie from writer and director Ned Crowley, is out today on Netflix. The movie follows the story of a recently freed slave, who believes her daughter is possessed, and convinces a physician to go and find a faith healer to try and fix her.

Alongside Pearce and Wise, Killing Faith stars Raoul Trujillo, Jamie Neumann, Jack Alcott, Joanna Cassidy, Emily Ford, and Bill Pullman. The movie premiered at 2025’s Beyond Fest, and when it released wide, it did so to mostly positive reviews.

The film holds a 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with many praising the film’s acting, stylistic filming, and undertones exploring the state of humanity and how people treat one another.

“In the film, a faithless physician agrees to escort an anguished mother (Wise) on a journey across a treacherous desert. The mother is hopeful of finding a cure for her daughter’s mysterious illness: she is possessed by the devil,” reads the official synopsis for the film.

Producers are Ellen Wander and Jordan Dykstra for Film Bridge International, along with Summer Crockett-Moore and Tony Glazer for Choice Films. It is executive produced by Jack Christian, D.J. McPherson and David Guglielmo.
