2 Popular Angelina Jolie Action Movies Stream on Paramount+ Today

Paramount+ officially expands its library with the addition of two popular action-adventure movies from Paramount Pictures. These iconic films starring Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie have a combined worldwide gross of over $434 million at the box office.

What Angelina Jolie action movies are now available on Paramount+?

As of today, 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and 2003’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life are now finally available to stream on Paramount+. Besides Jolie, the popular action franchise also starred Noah Taylor as Bryce, Chris Barrie as Hillary, Iain Glen as Manfred Powell, Jon Voight as Lord Richard Croft, Daniel Craig as Alex West, Ciarán Hinds as Dr. Jonathan Reiss, Gerard Butler as Terry Sheridan, and more.

“This live action feature is inspired by the most successful interactive video-game character in history — Lara Croft. Beautiful and brainy, Lara is the heroine of Eidos Interactive’s phenomenally successful Tomb Raider game series. It is one woman’s fearless quest, crisscrossing the globe, in an amazing attempt to save the world,” reads the first installment’s synopsis.

The 2001 movie was directed by Simon West, while Jan de Bont helmed the 2003 sequel. The franchise was based on Crystal Dynamics’ hit video game series. Despite being panned by critics, the first installment still managed to become a box office hit. At the moment, Amazon MGM Studios is producing a live-action series adaptation of Tomb Raider, with Game of Thrones vet Sophie Turner taking on the mantle of Lara Croft. Production on the Prime Video show is currently underway. The new show will also feature Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs.
