The Boys’ Antony Starr-Led Horror Movie Departs Soon From Netflix
A psychological horror film led by Antony Starr is set to exit Netflix in the coming weeks. The 2023 horror film, which centers on a troubled child convinced a sinister secret is hidden within his home, is scheduled to leave the platform soon. It gives subscribers a limited time to catch the film before it is removed from the catalog.
Cobweb leaves Netflix in March
Cobweb, starring Antony Starr, is set to depart from Netflix next month. The horror film will be removed from the platform on March 19, 2026. This gives subscribers a limited window to watch it before it exits the streaming library.
The film is directed by Samuel Bodin and written by Chris Thomas Devlin. It received a limited theatrical release in the United States on July 21, 2023. The story centers on Peter, an eight-year-old boy. He begins hearing persistent knocking sounds coming from inside the walls of his home. His parents repeatedly assure him that the noise is imaginary, but their response only deepens his suspicion.
As the unexplained sounds continue, Peter begins to question whether his mother and father are concealing a dangerous secret. The cast members include Lizzy Caplan as Carol, Antony Starr as Mark, Cleopatra Coleman as Miss Devine, Woody Norman as Peter, and Luke Busey as Brian, among others.
On Rotten Tomatoes, Cobweb holds a 58 percent approval rating from critics based on 93 reviews. Audience response has been comparatively stronger, with the film earning a 71 percent score on the site’s Popcornmeter.
Andy Lea of Daily Express wrote, “French director Samuel Bodin manages to build some solid scares out of these recycled parts.” They added, “As is often the case in modern horror films, Cobweb unravels as it lurches towards its clunky final act. But creepy camerawork and sinister grown-ups keep the tension simmering away in the wonderfully creepy buildup.”
