Predator: Badlands Star Wants Dek To Fight Alien’s Most Terrifying Monster

During a recent interview, actor Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi shared his idea for where the story of Predator: Badlands could go next. The actor suggested that his character, Dek, should face one of the most intimidating creatures from the Alien franchise. He explained that the clash could present a serious challenge for the young Yautja in a potential sequel.

Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi on who Dek should fight after Predator: Badlands

Discussing the future of Dek after the events of Predator: Badlands, actor Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi shared which opponent he believes could present a real challenge for the young Yautja if the story continues.

During an interview with The Direct, Schuster-Koloamatangi was asked what kind of creature he would like to see Dek face next. Reflecting on the question, he suggested that many well-known movie monsters might not be much of a threat to the character. “What would be a good challenge for him?” he said, adding, “I feel like a lot of movie monsters, he would just [kill].”

After thinking for a moment, the actor pointed to a creature from another major science fiction franchise. Referring to the hybrid creature introduced in Alien: Romulus, he said, “What’s the one in the last Alien? The big, tall hybrid one from Alien: Romulus.” After recalling the creature, he joked about the possibility of such a clash taking place and mentioned director Dan Trachtenberg, saying, “So hook it up, Dan. What’s going on?”

The comments came while promoting the digital release of Predator: Badlands, the latest entry in the long-running franchise directed by Trachtenberg. In the new film, Schuster-Koloamatangi plays Dek, a young Yautja who travels to a dangerous planet to hunt a powerful creature known as the Kalisk. During his journey, he meets Thia, a damaged Weyland-Yutani synth played by Elle Fanning. The two team up and face a series of deadly challenges as the story unfolds.
