Josh Brolin Replaced by The White Lotus Star in John Wick-Style Action Movie

Josh Brolin is being replaced in the upcoming action-comedy Mister, with a new star from The White Lotus set to come in and take on the role in his place.

What actor has replaced Josh Brolin in Mister ?

According to a new report from Deadline, Brolin will be replaced by The White Lotus and Fallout star Walton Goggins. Deadline notes that Brolin was forced to exit the project due to “unforeseen scheduling issues.” With filming set to get underway next month, it seems like Brolin was unable to make the project work.

Alongside Goggins, Mister will also star Chloë Grace Moretz. The movie will be directed by second unit and action director Wade Eastwood, who has credits in several Mission: Impossible movies and will be making his directorial debut with the project. Additional casting is still in the process, so more information on the movie should come out soon.

Mister “follows a man (Goggins) who wakes up in a strange house covered in blood and comes to realize his true identity while fighting off contract killers from his past — including everyone from his exes to his best friend. To get out, he teams up with his estranged daughter (Moretz) who also has ended up in the family business, but they will need to repair their relationship in order to survive,” according to the film’s synopsis.

Goggins is known for a litany of high-profile roles, but has most recently starred in Amazon’s Fallout series, which will film its third season soon. Moretz is best known for her roles in Kick-Ass and The Equalizer, and will next star in the upcoming rom-com Love Language, as well as The Edge of Normal, an upcoming thriller.
