Callum Turner Sci-Fi Movie Rose of Nevada Gets Trailer, Release Date
1-2 Special has shared the official trailer for Rose of Nevada, the upcoming sci-fi drama starring Callum Turner (Eternity) and George MacKay (1917). Following its world premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, the movie is now set to arrive in theaters on June 19, 2026.
“Three decades ago, the Rose of Nevada vanished at sea, along with its crew. Now, it has returned. In a remote fishing village, its reappearance is embraced as an auspicious sign, with the local citizens convinced the luck of their economically devastated community may turn, if only the ship sails again,” reads the official synopsis. “Joining the crew is Nick, desperate to provide for his young family, and Liam, a mysterious drifter eager to escape his past. After a successful voyage, they return to harbor, only to find that nothing is as they remember it.”

What happens in the Rose of Nevada trailer?
The video features Turner’s Liam and MacKay’s Nick as they joined the crew of the Rose of Nevada, a mysterious ship that suddenly reappears in their town after three decades since it went missing. Soon, they’ll learned that the ship has unexpectedly transported them in the past. The trailer shows Nick desperately trying to find a way to get back to the present, where his wife and baby are waiting.
The movie is written and directed by Mark Jenkin, who shot the film on a 16mm Bolex camera. Jenkin also served as the editor and score composer. The cast also includes Rosalind Eleazar, Edward Rowe, Francis Magee, Mary Woodvine, and Yana Penrose. Executive producers are Ama Ampadu, Farhana Bhula, Ben Bond, Ben Coren, Johnny Fewings, Neil Fox, Phil Hunt, Ollie Madden, Kingsley Marshall, and Compton Ross. Since its world premiere, the film has received an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 29 reviews.
