Paramount and Mattel recently announced that they inked a global multi-year licensing deal for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Under this agreement, the companies will develop and market a variety of products related to TMNT.
The agreement will come into effect starting in 2027. It will see TMNT merchandise like action figures, playsets, accessories, vehicles, games, collectibles, and role play launch across storefronts.
Moreover, the deal will also see Mattel produce new product lines for both the 2027 film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2, and an untitled TMNT live-action/CG animation hybrid, scheduled for a 2028 release.
Mattel’s EVP and Chief Global Brand Officer, Roberto Stanichi, spoke about the landmark deal. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is one of the most successful entertainment franchises in history, and partnering with Paramount on this iconic property marks a significant moment for Mattel and the brand.” He continued, “The enduring power of the Turtles lies in their ability to evolve with each generation, and we are excited to bring these characters to life in new ways.”
