2 Wednesday Replacement Animated Movies Coming to Netflix
Two animated movies, The Addams Family and The Addams Family 2, will arrive on Netflix soon. Directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, the movies were released in theaters in 2019 and 2021. The voice casts for the movies feature many talented stars such as Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Wallace Shawn, Snoop Dogg, Finn Wolfhard, and Javon Walton, among others.
The Addams Family and The Addams Family 2 to stream on Netflix
The animated movies, The Addams Family and The Addams Family Part 2, are coming to Netflix on February 20, 2026. Before Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday became a global sensation, the aforementioned movies were released in theaters.
According to What’s on Netflix, the synopsis of The Addams Family calls the film an “Animated comedy about the macabre clan who move to New Jersey and must face off against a greedy reality TV host while preparing for an extended family celebration.” The 2019 movie won over the box office and opened with $30 million. In the domestic market, it made around $100 million, whereas its international market total was $103 million, for a worldwide collection of of $203 million.
The synopsis of the sequel describes it as “following Morticia and Gomez as they take their children on a cross-country road trip in a haunted camper to bond as a family, encountering strange new characters along the way.” While the first part was a blockbuster at the box office, the second one failed to replicate its success.
The sequel opened with $17 million and made around $56 million in the domestic market. In the international market, the movie earned $63 million, which took its total collection to $119 million.
Moreover, on Rotten Tomatoes, The Addams Family got a score of 46 percent while its sequel achieved a score of 28 percent.
