What James McAvoy horror movie is now available on Peacock?
As of today, James McAvoy‘s horror thriller movie Speak No Evil is now officially available to stream on Peacock. In the film, the X-Men star plays a charismatic but manipulative patriarch who has sinister intentions against a couple visiting his remote farmhouse. The cast also included Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate), Scoot McNairy (A Quiet Place Part II), Alix West Lefler (The Good Nurse), Aisling Franciosi (Game of Thrones), and Dan Hough.
“When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “From Blumhouse, the producer of The Black Phone, Get Out, and The Invisible Man, comes an intense suspense thriller for our modern age, starring BAFTA award-winner James McAvoy in a riveting performance as the charismatic, alpha-male estate owner whose untrammeled hospitality masks an unspeakable darkness.”
The film was written and directed by James Watkins (The Woman in Black), based on scribes Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup’s 2022 Danish horror movie Gæsterne. It was produced by Jason Blum and Paul Ritchie, with Beatriz Sequeira serving as an executive producer. Since its debut in 2024, the movie has maintained its Certified Fresh rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 213 reviews.
