Universal’s Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift Teaser Sets up a Thrilling Ride
Universal Studios Hollywood has unveiled an early teaser of its upcoming attraction Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift. The newly released teaser, which will receive wide exposure, highlights the park’s first high speed outdoor roller coaster and features narration from franchise star Vin Diesel.
Universal reveals Fast & Furious roller coaster teaser for 2026 launch
Universal Studios Hollywood has unveiled its first promotional teaser of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, confirming that the new roller coaster will open this summer. A first version of the teaser was released on February 5, 2026. It offers fans an early glimpse at the ride that will be the park’s first high speed outdoor coaster.
The national teaser campaign will roll out during some of television’s biggest live events. According to the studio, the preview will air across NBC and Peacock broadcasts of the Winter Olympics, Super Bowl LX and the NBA All Star Game. The commercial is narrated by franchise star and producer Vin Diesel.
Hollywood Drift will become the park’s first high speed outdoor roller coaster. According to PEOPLE, the ride will feature “groundbreaking 360-degree rotation technology.” The vehicles will rotate while in motion, creating the illusion of drifting cars as they race along track at speeds of up to 72 miles per hour.
Riders will travel across more than 4,100 feet of track. It stretches through multiple sections of the property, including areas above the Starway escalator that connects the Upper and Lower Lots.
The launch also arrives at an important moment for the Fast & Furious franchise, which is nearing its 25th anniversary. Universal has already announced plans for a final installment titled Fast Forever, scheduled for release on March 17, 2028. The most recent film, Fast X, was released in 2023.
Once open, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will join other attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood. They also include Mario Kart and Bowser’s Challenge in Super Nintendo World, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, among others.
