As casting rumors swirl around Avengers: Secret Wars, Chris Hemsworth addressed the possibility of sharing the screen with Storm during an interview with Cinema Blend. When asked whether it was a “relief” that Halle Berry was not part of Doomsday, Hemsworth admitted the opposite.

“No, I was I was bummed,” he said. When the host joked that MCU Thor might feel someone was “stealing your thunder,” Hemsworth leaned into the idea, explaining that Thor would probably see Storm as an equal rather than a rival. He described the two as sharing “something in common,” praising their “incredible wielding of the weather patterns talent.”

Berry joined the exchange playfully, suggesting maybe Storm was not needed. Hemsworth quickly shut that down, replying, “No, I’m going to make sure you’re in the next one. I mean, every everyone wants you in it. Just hang out with us. You’ve got to accept it. I’m inviting you.”

That “next one” could very well be Avengers: Secret Wars. While Berry has confirmed she is not part of Avengers: Doomsday, she has kept the door open for future MCU appearances. Berry told ScreenRant, “And while I’m sad I won’t be in Doomsday this round, there are other rounds. And I would do that in a heartbeat.”

Her comment has sparked theories ranging from surprise reshoots to a full return in Secret Wars, which follows Doomsday. Berry previously told fans, “Keep waiting. Not gonna be there,” making her recent remarks all the more intriguing.

Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, releases on December 18, 2026, with Secret Wars arriving on December 17, 2027.
