Zack Snyder’s Justice League Villain Gets Majestic Imax Screening Photos

Zack Snyder, architect of the now-defunct DCEU, has continued with his periodic release of never-before-seen footage from Justice League, sharing yet another still from the ‘Snyder Cut’ on his social media handle. Having posted numerous snapshots of Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel and Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight so far, the visionary filmmaker has stirred up the pot this time by introducing fans to a striking image of the movie’s villain, Steppenwolf, from the IMAX screening of Justice League.

Zack Snyder shares Steppenwolf shots from Justice League’s IMAX screening

On February 4, the 300 director took to social media to post a high-resolution image of Ciarán Hinds’ Steppenwolf, highlighting how the big bad of his version of Justice League would’ve looked on an IMAX screen.

Snyder captioned the Instagram post, “I wish more people could’ve experienced this in IMAX.
These were shot off the screen during picture check at Universal CityWalk IMAX — Only a handful of people got to see this film as it was intended on a massive screen and an image that just breathed. Zack Snyder’s Justice League.”

The images shared by Snyder showcase Darkseid’s most formidable minion in all his glory, standing tall with disgust on his face, with Wonder Woman’s native island, Themyscira, in the background. Moreover, Steppenwolf’s shiny armor in the pictures radiates a hint of purple, with spikes protruding out of his organic suit.

The stills understandably invigorated fans, who flooded Snyder’s comment section with appreciation towards his final DCEU feature. One Instagram user backed the director’s claims of Zack Snyder’s Justice League being an IMAX must-watch movie by writing, “I was amongst that lucky handful. Truly an awesome experience. It deserves more IMAX screen time.”

Another fan simply praised the extended cut of the DCEU’s premier team-up film, stating, “I can watch the Snydercut in one sitting. 4 hours of pure Art.”

The still of Steppenwolf comes just days after Zack Snyder posted a gritty behind-the-scenes image of Ben Affleck’s Batman on his Instagram. While fans have continued to demand a restoration of Snyder’s vision for the DCEU, no official update regarding the same has come out in a long time.
