1 of Netflix’s Biggest Shows Debuts Season 4 With Strong RT Score

One of Netflix’s top period dramas returned with a new season and debuted with a strong Rotten Tomatoes score. The show’s latest installment dropped its first set of episodes, drawing notable attention from both critics and audiences.

What critics are saying about Bridgerton Season 4

Reviews are mixed in tone but generally favorable. Carla Meyer of the San Francisco Chronicle gave it a 2/4 rating, writing, “In season 4, it finally hits the wall.” Randy Myers of San Jose Mercury News also rated it 2/4, stating, “Season 4 needs more to add some sizzle and take more risks with its two main lovers.” On the other hand, Caroline Siede of Girl Culture described it as “fun again in a way season three too seldom was.”

Louise Rugendyke of the Sydney Morning Herald rated it 4/5 and noted, “Forget the dress, Cinderella is about workers’ rights and the abuse of servants.” Rebecca Nicholson of the Financial Times gave it 3/5 and called it “deceptively moreish.” Critics also praised Yerin Ha’s portrayal of Sophie, with Carol Midgley of The Times (UK) writing, “Ha is mesmerising as Sophie.”

Additional positive commentary includes New York Magazine/Vulture, where Marah Eakin wrote, “It’s all very pleasant, shiny and rich in the way that only ‘Bridgerton’ can truly be,” and fellow Vulture critic Kathryn VanArendonk noted, “Its minor plots are thematically relevant to the main story.” While Sonia Rao of the Washington Post wrote, “Their chemistry captivates enough.”
