Melania Trump Popcorn Bucket Revealed for Upcoming Movie
In news that’s sure to surprise folks, the upcoming Melania Trump documentary, Melania, is getting a popcorn bucket that fans of the movie can pick up if they go see the movie.
How to get the Melania Trump popcorn bucket
The popcorn bucket craze is one that’s taken over the world of movies since Dune: Part Two’s infamous sand worm went viral. Now, fans can pick up one for the upcoming movie Melania. The bucket will be available for $12.99 at theaters showing the movie this week. While it might sound like parody, Regal has confirmed to Gizmodo that the bucket is very real.
“Since the release of Barbie on July 21, 2023, Regal has frequently offered collectible movie-themed containers across a wide range of film genres including many non-fiction releases like Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration from Fathom Entertainment, which blur the lines of the documentary category,” Kevan Karr, senior communications manager at Regal, told Gizmodo over email.
“Several films about musicians have covered both band history and their music, so it would be difficult to claim Melania is the first documentary associated with a collectible container,” Karr continued.

Talk of Melania’s box office demand, or lack thereof, has been ongoing for a week or so now. According to recent reports, the film has faced fairly small ticket turnout. The social media account EmpireCity Box Office also chimed in on Belloni’s report noting that “almost nobody wants to play” the movie, and that the theatrical release continues to shrink.
Melania is set to have its premiere on January 30, 2026, and will premiere at the Kennedy Center before having a theatrical release. The film will also stream on Prime Video following its release, although no official streaming release has been set for the movie.
“Melania offers unprecedented access to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 Presidential Inauguration — through the eyes of the First Lady herself,” the official synopsis reads. “Step inside Melania Trump’s world as she orchestrates inauguration plans, navigates the complexities of the White House transition, and moves her family back to the Nation’s Capital.”
Melania is directed by Brett Ratner, a controversial director who was accused of sexual assault years ago. Melania is Ratner’s first directed movie since 2014’s Hercules.
