Fantastic Four MCU Star Joins Cast of Charlize Theron Movie Tyrant

One of the stars of the MCU’s Fantastic Four movie is set to star alongside Charlize Theron in an upcoming, mysterious movie.

What MCU star is set to star in Tyrant?

According to a new report from Deadline, Julia Garner, who played the Silver Surfer/Shalla-Bal in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, will join Theron in Tyrant, an ucpoming Amazon MGM Studios movie.

The movie will be directed by David Weil, who co-created the Apple TV+ series Invasion as well as the Prime Video series Citadel. Weil will also write the project, which Deadline says is set to begin filming later this year.

Nothing is known about the movie as of now, but Deadline notes that it will have “shades of Wall Street and Whiplash,” and be set in NYC’s high-end culinary world. The story for the film is based on a story by Weil and Cody Behan.

Outside of the MCU, Garner is known for a variety of high-profile roles. She’s best known for starring in the Netflix series Ozark, but also had another high-profile role in 2025, starring in Zach Cregger’s horror movie Weapons. She’ll also play Madonna in an upcoming biopic about the legendary musician. Theron is next set to appear in 2026’s Apex and The Odyssey, the latter of which will see her play the Greek goddess of magic, Circe.
