Prime Video’s Most Star-Studded Movie of 2026 Out Today
One of this year’s most star-studded movies has finally been added to Prime Video‘s movie library. Featuring the long-awaited team-up between Guardians of the Galaxy vet Dave Bautista and Aquaman star Jason Momoa, Prime Video’s newest action comedy movie, The Wrecking Crew, is now officially available to stream.
What do we know about Prime Video’s The Wrecking Crew movie?
The Wrecking Crew is directed by Blue Beetle filmmaker Ángel Manuel Soto, with Jonathan Tropper writing the script. The ensemble cast also includes Claes Bang, Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Frankie Adams, and Miyavi, with Stephen Root and Morena Baccarin. Following its world premiere last week in New York City, the movie has already received a positive Tomatometer rating of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 11 reviews.
“Set in the streets of Hawaii, this action comedy follows two estranged half-brothers, Jonny (Momoa) and James (Bautista), who are forced to reunite after their father’s mysterious death. As they set out to uncover the truth, buried secrets resurface, and loyalties are tested, unveiling a conspiracy that can tear their family apart. Together, they are ready to wreck anything that gets in their way,” reads the official synopsis.
The film is produced by Bautista, Momoa, Matt Reeves, Jeff Fierson, and Lynn Harris. The creative team consists of director of photography Matt Flannery, editor Mike McCusker, composer Bobby Krlic, production designer Andrew Menzies, and costume designer Jane Holland. It currently holds a total runtime of 2 hours and 2 minutes.
At the moment, Momoa is attached to star in several high-profile movies, including the road comedy Animal Friends with Ryan Reynolds; the DC Universe movie Supergirl, where he’ll play iconic anti-hero Lobo; and the live-action Street Fighter movie. Meanwhile, Bautista will next be seen in the sci-fi comedy film Alpha Gang with Chris Pine and Cate Blanchett, and in Amazon MGM Studios’ Road House 2 with Jake Gyllenhaal. He’s also set to voice the main villain in the upcoming animated movie The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender.
