Holy Days Trailer: Harry Potter Star & Oscar Nominees Star in Road Trip Movie | Exclusive
ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer for Holy Days, the upcoming adventure comedy from Blue Fox Entertainment and Photon Films & Media. The movie will have its world premiere on February 5 at the 2026 Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Afterward, it will arrive in theaters across North America on March 27.
“In Holy Days, three unconventional nuns embark on a last-ditch road trip across New Zealand from north to south on a journey to fight for their independence. Along the way, they form an unlikely bond with a young Māori boy on a deeply personal mission of his own,” reads the official synopsis. “When an unexpected snowstorm derails their journey, the group must confront mortality, loss, and the transformative power of love, forgiveness, and connection.”

What happens in the Holy Days trailer?
The video introduces Judy Davis (A Passage to India), Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets), and Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) as nuns who have no choice but to go on a cross-country road trip in hopes of saving their convent. Joining them is a young Māori boy who will help them through their epic and heartwarming journey. The trailer also highlights some of the hilarious antics they will get themselves into during their road trip.
Holy Days is written and directed by Nat Boltt, based on the acclaimed novel by Dame Joy Cowley. The movie also stars Boltt, Craig Hall, Jonny Brugh, Elijah Tamati, Tuakoi Ohia, and Candice Milner, with rising star Elijah Tamati. It is produced by Emma Slade, Michelle Morris, Victoria Dabbs, Roxi Bull, and Sushant Desai, with Tainui Stephens serving as a cultural producer. It is a production by Velvet Moss and Lily Pictures. Filming took place in New Zealand.
