$441 Million Sci-Fi Robots Movie Is Leaving Netflix Shortly

An action-adventure sci-fi film that is an installment of a long-running popular franchise revolving around large robots is leaving Netflix soon. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is one of many titles departing the streaming platform next month. At the time of its release in 2023, the film underperformed at the box office.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts leaves Netflix in February

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is reportedly leaving Netflix, where it’s currently streaming, on February 25, 2026, according to What’s on Netflix. So, fans have about a month to check out the film before its departure.

Following its release in June 2023, the film grossed $441.7 million globally against a reported $195-200 million budget (via Box Office Mojo). Thus, it is the lowest-grossing film in the mainline live-action Transformers film franchise. Here are the total worldwide box office grosses of its predecessors:

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a rotten score of 51% but an impressive audience score of 91%. The latter signifies the film’s appeal to audiences and the franchise’s enduring popularity despite mixed critical reception.

Meanwhile, this considerable disparity between audiences and critics isn’t present on Metacritic, where both parties seem to have a similar opinion on the movie. On the site, the film holds a Metascore of 42 and a user score of 5.6, both denoting “Mixed or Average” perception.

A sequel to Bumblebee, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts takes place in 1994. In the film, ex-military electronics expert Noah Diaz and artifact researcher Elena Wallace help Autobots and Maximals protect an artifact. Consequently, the pair is drawn into a larger conflict between the Autobots, Maximals, and Terrorcons.

Steven Caple Jr. directed the film from Joby Harold, Erich Hoeber, Jon Hoeber, Josh Peters, and Darnell Metayer’s screenplay.

The film’s human cast includes Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Tobe Nwigwe, Luna Lauren Vélez, Aidan Devine, and Michael Kelly. Meanwhile, the voice cast includes Peter Cullen, Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Pete Davidson, and Colman Domingo, among others.
