Return to Silent Hill Star Reveals Deleted Sex Scene From Horror Movie

Return to Silent Hill may feature a host of grotesque sequences, but the horror movie almost included a sex scene as well, before the makers decided to delete it from the final cut. In a recent interview, Hannah Emily Anderson, who plays a number of characters in the latest Silent Hill adaptation, confirmed that the creative team had originally planned to include an intimate encounter in the film but ultimately chose to scrap it.

Hannah Emily Anderson reveals dance-like sex scene that was cut from Return to Silent Hill

The Canadian actress recently revealed that one of the Return to Silent Hill deleted sequences was actually a sex scene that involved her as well as Jeremy Irvine’s character.

“I’m laughing because there was supposed to be a sex scene at one point, and it was choreographed like a dance, almost, and they kept having to kind of push it, and Jeremy and I kept being like, ‘We don’t have to film one today!'” Hannah Emily Anderson remarked while speaking with The Direct’s Russ Milheim.

Nevertheless, the said scene was ultimately deleted from Return to Silent Hill, and Anderson couldn’t have wished for better news. “Eventually, when we got to Munich after Serbia, they told us separately, at one point, that the scene was being cut, and we were just texting each other like, ‘Oh my God, thank God. Let’s go out and have some beer and shit!’ So I think we did celebrate.”

Despite the hype surrounding the movie, which draws inspiration from the 2001 horror video game Silent Hill 2, neither critics nor audiences seem to have enjoyed it. Helmed by Christophe Gans, it has so far garnered abysmal reviews, as evidenced by its 9 percent Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Return to Silent Hill hasn’t fared well with early viewers as well, and sports a Popcornmeter score of 35 percent, making it the worst-rated entry in the franchise.
