The Mummy’s Oded Fehr hasn’t been contacted for a sequel

Oded Fehr says he has not been approached about returning to The Mummy 4, even as reports continue to circulate about a potential fourth installment in The Mummy franchise. The actor, who portrayed Medjai warrior Ardeth Bay in 1999’s The Mummy and 2001’s The Mummy Returns, addressed the speculation while speaking during recent Screen Rant interview.

Fehr explained that he has not received any communication from the studio or the filmmakers connected to the project. He said, “I gotta tell you, man, I’m so excited that you’re excited. I haven’t been contacted. I don’t know anything about it.”

The actor stressed that he hopes he film moves forward and that he could take part. However, he acknowledged that he has no concrete information to share. “I know that the internet has been saying it as though it exists and it’s a done deal, but haven’t heard anything about it. So I’m hoping it happens. I’m hoping I get to be in it. But there’s nothing I can tell you about it,” he said.

Fehr also spoke about the impact the adventure films had on his career. He said, “I love The Mummy. It’s made me into working actor.” The actor also noted that he would welcome an opportunity to work again with former cast members. “I love the actors on it. I’ve gotten to see a few of them in the last couple of years,” he clarified.

Reports in November 2025 indicated that a new installment was in development, with Matt Bettinelli Olpin and Tyler Gillett returning as directors.
