Chris Pratt Wants To Return to Billion Dollar Franchise With Marvel Actor
Chris Pratt addressed the possibility of returning to one of Hollywood’s biggest franchises alongside a major Marvel star. The actor spoke about reuniting with Scarlett Johansson following her lead role in the latest Jurassic World film and shared where he stands on coming back to the billion-dollar series.
Chris Pratt would love to unite with Scarlett Johansson for Jurassic World 5
Chris Pratt said he would love to return to the Jurassic World franchise alongside Scarlett Johansson. “Maybe. Yeah, I think so. That’d be awesome,” Pratt said during a January 2026 appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “I mean, I love that character. I love the team. Love Universal. Love Scarlett. I think that would be epic,” he stated, adding, “We’d just have to find a way to do it in a way that honors the stories that we told the first three times.”
Pratt originally played Owen Grady in Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), and Jurassic World Dominion (2022). In the same interview, Pratt referenced the relationship arc between his character and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing. “We see that arc, and it’s amazing,” Pratt said, adding, “They kiss, then the next iteration is like, well, that didn’t work out, but now we’re coming back together. Oh, now we’re in it for good. And the third iteration of that is like, we’re now parents, and we’re having a family.”
Scarlett Johansson featured as Zora Bennett in Jurassic World Rebirth, released on July 2, 2025, and directed by Gareth Edwards. The film, written by David Koepp, introduced a new storyline and characters, centered around a covert mission to extract dinosaur DNA from genetically modified species such as the Distortus Rex. It is the first Jurassic World film without the legacy cast.
Chris Pratt also discussed his Marvel future. “I’m happy to do anything they want me to do and will,” he said. Pratt further confirmed that he has pitched his idea for Star-Lord’s return to Marvel and is open to future involvement.
