Chris Pratt Wants Father-in-Law Arnold Schwarzenegger for Hit Action Series
Chris Pratt addressed a popular fan question about The Terminal List and the potential casting of his father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The show’s star revealed he has a specific role in mind for Schwarzenegger but stopped short of confirming any official discussions.
Chris Pratt thinks one Terminal List role is perfect for Arnold Schwarzenegger
During an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Chris Pratt said, “I would love to incorporate Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminal List. There’s a couple of characters. One in particular, any fan — I’m not going to say who it is — but fans of the book will know who it is.” He added, “I haven’t even spoken to Arnold about that, but I could see him playing this character. I think it would be so f—ing epic.”
Pratt did not identify the character but referred to the adaptation of True Believer, the second book in Jack Carr’s Terminal List series. While discussing the possibility, he confirmed that production on Season 2 had already concluded. “We’re done with Season 2. We’re in post right now. We’ve locked six of eight episodes,” he said. Filming for the season wrapped in October 2025, with production spanning South Africa, North America, and Morocco.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pratt’s father-in-law, has not been officially linked to the series. Pratt mentioned the idea has circulated in his circle. “People within our periphery have floated ideas around like you guys should do this,” he noted. “And I think both of us kind of look at each other like I don’t know if that’s right.”
The Terminal List debuted its first season in July 2022. To bridge the long gap between seasons, a prequel series titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf starring Taylor Kitsch aired in 2025. Season 2, based on True Believer, is currently in post-production and is expected to release later in 2026. Pratt plays lead character James Reece in the series.
