Hit Prime Video Movie’s Sequel Adds Uma Thurman & More to Cast
The cast for Prime Video’s sequel to Red, White & Royal Blue, titled Red, White & Royal Wedding, has been announced.
Amazon MGM Studios’ Red, White & Royal Blue was released on Prime Video in 2023. Directed by Matthew López in his feature film directorial debut, the movie is based on a 2019 novel by Casey McQuiston and stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Henry and Taylor Zakhar Perez as Alex Claremont-Diaz. The film was nominated for Outstanding Television Movie at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Red, White & Royal Wedding has now officially started production, with Galitzine and Perez both reprising their roles.
Who else has joined the cast of Prime Video’s Red, White & Royal Wedding with Uma Thurman?
As announced in a press release, Red, White & Royal Wedding will also see the return of Uma Thurman as Ellen Claremont, Sarah Shahi as Zahra Bankston, Rachel Hilson as Nora Holleran, Ellie Bamber as Princess Beatrice, Clifton Collins Jr. as Oscar Diaz, Stephen Fry as James III, Thomas Flynn as Prince Philip, Aneesh Sheth as Amy, and Malcolm Atobrah as Percy Okonjo.
Additionally, Henry Ashton (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder) and Alex Høgh Andersen (Vikings, The Room Next Door) have both joined the cast.
Plot details for Red, White & Royal Wedding are being kept under wraps at this time. Jamie Babbit (But I’m a Cheerleader) is directing the movie, while the script comes from McQuiston, López, and Gemma Burgess.
Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Michael McGrath are producing the sequel for Berlanti Schechter Films alongside López and Sullivan Street Productions’ Jennifer Salke. McQuiston and Michael Constable both serve as executive producers.
A Prime Video release date for Red, White & Royal Wedding has not yet been announced by Amazon MGM Studios. The first movie, meanwhile, is available to watch on the streaming service.
