Taylor Swift Blasted Justin Baldoni as a ‘B—h’ in Text With Blake Lively — Report
Newly unsealed court documents name Taylor Swift and Blake Lively. The filings are part of the ongoing legal dispute involving It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni. According to the report, the documents cite a private text exchange where Swift used an insult while discussing Baldoni with Lively.
New report claims that court documents reveal Taylor Swift’s text about Justin Baldoni
Court documents reveal that Taylor Swift called director Justin Baldoni a “b—h” in a December 2024 text message to Blake Lively, writing, “I think this b—h knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin” (via Variety).
The alleged message appeared in legal filings related to Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni and the producers of It Ends With Us. The exchange occurred shortly before the New York Times published an exposé on the conflict between Lively and Baldoni.
In earlier messages from April 2023, Lively referred to Baldoni as the “doofus director of my movie” and described him as a “clown” who “thinks he’s a writer now.” The court documents highlight growing tensions during production, with Lively eventually creating her own cut of the film. In a sworn declaration, she claimed Baldoni’s version “marginalized the female characters” and “glorified the abuser.”
Lively alleged that Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath retaliated against her for speaking out, and she refused to appear alongside them during promotions. “They painted themselves as the victims and me as a bully,” she said. “I was not willing to endorse Baldoni or Heath personally by appearing alongside or promoting the film with them.”
In a December 2024 exchange, Swift allegedly responded, “I’ll do anything for you!!” when Lively asked her to endorse a revised script (via PEOPLE). Lively’s lawyers contested that Swift agreed to any terms or met with Baldoni. Lively later texted Swift, “You are the world’s absolute greatest friend ever.”
Swift’s spokesperson responded to a 2025 subpoena attempt by stating she “never set foot on the set,” had no role in casting or editing, and only licensed one song. The court dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
The trial begins on May 18, 2026.
