Stephen Graham & Andrea Riseborough Kidnap a Teen in Heel Trailer

Magnolia Pictures has shared the official trailer for Heel, an upcoming psychological thriller led by Golden Globe winner Stephen Graham (Adolescence) and Academy Award nominee Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie). The movie is scheduled to make its debut in theaters and on digital platforms on March 6, 2026.

“The film follows 19-year-old hooligan Tommy, who revels in a life of drugs, parties, and violence. One night, on a bender with his reckless friends, he becomes separated from the group and is abducted by an unknown figure,” reads the movie’s official synopsis. “Though he is no stranger to inflicting violence, he is enraged and horrified when he wakes to find himself chained in the basement of the isolated suburban family home of Chris, his wife Kathryn, and their young son Jonathan. The family sets out to reform Tommy’s unruly behavior, forcing him to comply with their relentless mind games or seek escape at any cost.”

What happens in the Heel trailer?

The video introduces Graham and Riseborough as a twisted couple who kidnapped a misfit teenager in hopes of rehabilitating him. However, their way of rehabilitation involves keeping him in the basement, tying a chain around his neck, and beating him whenever he misbehaves. The trailer highlights the things he must do to find a way to escape the psychotic family, who stalked and imprisoned him.

Heel is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jan Komasa, with Bartek Bartosik and Naqqash Khalid writing the screenplay. The movie also stars Anson Boon (Pistol), Austin Haynes (Adolescence), Kit Rakusen (Jay Kelly), Callum Booth-Ford (Peaky Blinders), and Savannah Steyn (House of the Dragon). Executive producers are Caroline Cooper Charles, Naomi Despres, Michèle Marshall, Lukasz Poninski, and Peter Watson. Ewa Piaskowska, Jerzy Skolimowski, and Jeremy Thomas are set as producers.
