Powell is set to star while also co-writing the screenplay alongside Apatow, who will direct the project. The studio is treating the project as a priority release. However, production was unable to move forward this spring due to Powell’s busy schedule.

The project is being overseen at the studio level by Universal Senior EVP of Production Development Erik Baiers and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell.
