Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2: Brad Pitt Movie Gets Exciting Update

More information about the upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2 movie focusing on Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth has come to light, with the film getting an exciting update.

What is the latest Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2 update?

In a recent post on Instagram, Jarred Land, the President of the Red Digital Cinema Camera Company, shared an image of a slate and revealed that production on The Adventures of Cliff Booth had offically wrapped. In his caption, Land noted that it was an “honor” to have the team filming at the RSH Studios in Hollywood.

In the photo, David Fincher’s director credit cant be seen, as well as Quentin Tarantino’s who is credited as having written the “teleplay” for the film. While he isn’t credited as a screenplay writer, the movie is based on a script from Tarantino, which reportedly evolved out of his now canceled The Movie Critic movie.

While Brad Pitt will be reprising his role as Cliff Booth in the movie, Leonardo DiCaprio, who played Rick Dalton in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, will not be involved. The star acknowledged late last year that he won’t be involved despite reports that he was being offered a large payday to do so.

“There were some talks about it early on,” DiCaprio said. “Ultimately, I cannot wait to see the Cliff Booth story, but I’m not in it. I think David Fincher’s the perfect man for the job. Quentin is a huge fan of his work, I’m a huge fan of his work, and there’s nobody better to carry on that lineage and tell that story. I think it’s the next phase of Cliff Booth’s life. I’m excited to see it.”

The new movie will be yet another collaboration between Fincher and Pitt, who have worked together for three of Pitt’s most memorable movies, including 1995’s Seven, 1999’s Fight Club, and 2008’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Originally released in 2019, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood followed the story of a fading actor (DiCaprio) and his stunt double (Pitt) as they navigate the changing world of Hollywood. A subplot of the movie also focused on Charles Manson and the Tate murders. The film was nominated for ten Oscars, winning two (Best Supporting Actor for Pitt and Best Production Design).
