2015’s $1.6 Billion Grossing Movie Now Streaming on Peacock Today

One of 2015’s biggest movies is officially on Peacock today, bringing another entry of one of the most iconic franchises to the streaming platform.

What movie is now streaming on Peacock?

Jurassic World, the movie that essentially brought back the Jurassic Park franchise, is now on Peacock. Released in 2015, Jurassic World would go on to not only become the highest grossing film in the Jurassic Park franchise, but also was the second-highest grossing film in all of 2015, trailing only behind the extremely successful Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Jurassic World was directed by Colin Trevorrow, and feature a star-studded cast that also included Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, and Irrfan Khan. The movie is set 22 years after the events of the original Jurassic Park, and takes place on the original Isla Nublar, which has been converted into a successful theme park called Jurassic World.

Jurassic World kicked off a new era of Jurassic Park for Universal. The movie was followed by two sequels, 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, the latter of which also saw Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern reprise their roles as Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, and Ellie Sattler, respectively. Those films were then followed by 2025’s Jurassic World Rebirth.

“Located off the coast of Costa Rica, the Jurassic World luxury resort provides a habitat for an array of genetically engineered dinosaurs, including the vicious and intelligent Indominus rex,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “When the massive creature escapes, it sets off a chain reaction that causes the other dinos to run amok. Now, it’s up to a former military man and animal expert to use his special skills to save two young brothers and the rest of the tourists from an all-out, prehistoric assault.”
