2025 Action Movie With an Unrecognizable Jamie Foxx Coming to Hulu

A 2025 action movie starring Jamie Foxx is making its way to Hulu real soon, expanding the streamer’s film catalog. Tin Soldier is one of the many movie titles arriving on the streamer this month. At the time of its release, despite boasting some prominent names in its cast, the film reportedly experienced overwhelmingly negative reception.

2025’s Tin Soldier to stream on Hulu very soon

Jamie Foxx’s action movie, Tin Soldier, arrives on Hulu on January 30, 2026. The film originally premiered in theaters across the United States on September 12, 2025, three years after production started in 2022. Meanwhile, the film arrived in Russia and the United Kingdom earlier on May 29, 2025, and July 23, 2025, respectively.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has abysmal critical and audience scores of 8% and 10%, respectively, indicating that this is one of the films heavily disliked by both critics and general audiences.

Despite the poor scores, the film reportedly became a streaming success in several international markets last year, securing a position within Prime Video’s top 10 chart. On June 22, 2025, it reportedly became the #9 movie overall worldwide on Prime Video.

The action-adventure drama follows Nash Cavanaugh, a former Special Forces soldier. Government officer Emmanuel Ashburn tasks him with infiltrating a cult and exposing and destroying its enigmatic leader, The Bokushi, who promises protection and purpose to his followers but is actually a destructive figure. Nash accepts the mission, keen on getting revenge on The Bokushi, his former mentor, for taking away everything he held dear, including his lover.

Brad Furman helmed Tin Soldier from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jess Fuerst and Pablo F. Fenjves. Furman previously directed films like City of Lies, The Infiltrator, and The Lincoln Lawyer. In addition to directing and writing the screenplay, Furman also co-developed the film’s story with Fuerst. He and Fuerst also co-produced the film with Steven Chasman, Keith Kjarval, Jim Seibel, and Brad Feinstein.

Besides Jamie Foxx, Tin Soldier also stars Scott Eastwood, Robert De Niro, John Leguizamo, Rita Ora, Joey Bicicchi, Nora Arnezeder, and Shamier Anderson, among others.
