New Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Sees MCU Worlds Colliding in Unexpected Way

The fourth teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has been released.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is currently in post-production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie will be released in United States theaters later this year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, then follows in 2027.

Marvel has now released four teaser trailers for Avengers: Doomsday. The first teaser revealed that Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers is officially returning to the MCU, while the second focused on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. The third trailer then offered a look at a number of X-Men characters, including Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, Ian McKellen’s Magneto, and James Marsden’s Cyclops.

What happens in the new Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer?

The fourth Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer largely revolves around Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther, though there are also brief glimpses of Tenoch Huerta Mejía’s Namor and Mabel Cadena’s Namora.

The footage then ends with Shuri, Winston Duke’s M’Baku, and some Wakandans walking across a desert — whether this is the Void or a desert on Earth remains unclear at this time — to be Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm/The Thing of the Fantastic Four. 

In addition to the aforementioned stars, the cast of Avengers: Doomsday includes Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, David harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives on December 18, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars then follows on December 17, 2027.
