Sam Rockwell is Humanity’s Only Hope in Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die Trailer

Sam Rockwell stars as the Man From the Future tasked with saving humanity in the official trailer for Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die.

“A man claiming to be from the future takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world,” the official logline reads.

What happens in the Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die trailer?

“There’s some s— that’s about to come down,” Rockwell’s Man From the Future tells a crowd of unsuspecting customers at a Los Angeles diner. The Man comes from an apocalyptic future where things did not go well for humanity. A powerful AI consumed the world, transforming it into a hellscape.

However, the Man tells these customers that it can all change if they fight back right now. “There is a chance you will die tonight, but I truly believe you could be the group that saves the f—ing world,” the Man tells his recruits before stepping into battle.

Besides Rockwell, the cast features Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chandhry, Tom Taylor, and Juno Temple.

Gore Verbinski directs Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, his first feature directorial effort since 2016’s A Cure for Wellness. Verbinski is best known for helming the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies and the Academy Award-winning animated film Rango. Matthew Robinson penned the script.

Producers include Verbinski, Robert Kulzer, Erwin Stoff, Oly Obst, and Denise Chamian.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die premiered to a positive reception at Fantastic Fest in September 2025. The sci-fi adventure comedy has garnered a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die releases in theaters on February 13, 2026.
