David Harbour’s Replacement in Andor Showrunner’s New Movie Found

Following David Harbour’s sudden departure from the upcoming Searchlight Pictures’ Behemoth!, a new star has joined the cast to be his replacement.

Who has replaced David Harbour in Tony Gilroy’s new movie?

According to a new report from Deadline, Will Arnett has officially joined on the project to replace Harbour. He’ll join Pedro Pascal, Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Matthew Lillard, Margarita Levieva, and Alexa Swinton in the upcoming project, which is directed by Tony Gilroy (Andor).

Production on the project began in October, but Deadline notes that scenes involving Harbour are minimal so far and that the recasting won’t have an effect on the production ending in the coming weeks.

The exact reason for Harbour’s exit was not revealed. However, reports citing sources familiar with the matter note that the actor stepped away from the project to rest after being “overwhelmed by the series wrap of Stranger Things.” Harbour is the second actor to depart the film. He was preceded by Oscar Isaac, who was reportedly originally attached to play the lead role until he exited the film and was replaced by Pascal.

Currently, little is known about Behemoth! as most plot details have been kept under wraps. The film will involve a cellist in some way, however. Past reports of the film have described it as “a love letter to the music of the movies and the people who make it. It tells of a musician from a family of musicians who returns to Los Angeles.”

Behemoth! will be directed by Gilroy, who also wrote the movie’s screenplay. Arnett most recently starred in 2025’s Is This Thing On? and the animated series Super Team Canada, which he lends his voice to.
