Kelly Rowland and Method Man Star in Relationship Goals Trailer

Amazon MGM has released the first trailer for Relationship Goals, the feature film debut from Emmy-nominated director Linda Mendoza starring Cliff “Method Man” Smith and Kelly Rowland. Relationship Goals is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on February 4, 2026.

“When brilliant TV producer Leah Caldwell (Rowland) is about to make history as the first woman to run New York’s top morning show, her ex Jarrett Roy (Method Man) swoops in to compete for the same position,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “He claims he’s a changed man, transformed by the wisdom of the bestselling book Relationship Goals.

“While Leah’s tight-knit circle of friends are open to the advice the book offers, Leah is laser-focused on breaking through the glass ceiling, and says she isn’t ready to believe in finding love just yet — even as her undeniable chemistry with her ex threatens to reignite old flames.”

What happens in the Relationship Goals trailer?

The new trailer follows the life of Leah Caldwell, a TV producer who assumes she’s a shoe-in to get the job to run New York’s biggest morning show. However, after the company brings in her ex (Method Man) to compete for the job, the two end up working together on a talk show, their distaste for each begins to change.

Alongside Rowland and Smith, Relationship Goals also stars Robin Thede, Chris Kapeleris, Alex Castillo, Melanie Leishman, David Pinard, Annie Gonzalez, and more. The movie is directed by Linda Mendoza, who is making her feature debut after having worked on projects like 30 Rock, Grown-ish, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and more. The movie is written by Michael Elliot, Laura Lekkos, and Cory Tynan, and is inspired by minister Michael Todd’s 2020 New York Times bestseller Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex.
