Lewis Pullman & Sally Field’s Star-Studded Netflix Movie Gets Release Date
Netflix has officially announced the release date for Remarkably Bright Creatures, the upcoming mystery drama starring Lewis Pullman and Sally Field.
When is Remarkably Bright Creatures’ release date?
Remarkably Bright Creatures is set to release on Netflix on May 8, 2026. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Shelby Van Pelt, which was released in 2022 and has been a multiple-time New York Times bestseller.
“Tova, an elderly widow, forms an unlikely friendship with the curmudgeonly Marcellus — a giant pacific octopus that lives at the aquarium where she works. Unbeknownst to Tova, Marcellus is on a mission to solve a mystery that will heal the widow’s heart and lead her to a life-changing discovery. Based on the best-selling book,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
Alongside Pullman and Field, Remarkably Bright Creatures also stars Colm Meaney, Joan Chen, Kathy Baker, Beth Grant, and Sofia Black D’Elia. The film is directed by Olivia Newman, who also co-wrote the adaptation alongside John Whittington. Bryan Unkeless, Peter Craig, and David Levine are attached to the project as producers.
Field is a legend in the world of acting and has appeared in movies like Smokey and the Bandit, Hooper, Mrs. Doubtfire, Norma Rae, Forrest Gump, Lincoln, and more. Pullman, the son of actor Bill Pullman, has also starred in a litany of big films, including Top Gun: Maverick, Thunderbolts, ‘Salmes Lot, and more.
