Alan Ritchson’s Netflix Sci-Fi Action Movie War Machine Gets Release Date
Netflix has announced the release date for War Machine, its newest sci-fi action movie led by Reacher star Alan Ritchson. This marks Ritchson’s first major collaboration with Netflix as the lead.
“During the final stage of US Army Ranger selection, an elite team’s training exercise turns into a fight for survival against an unimaginable threat,” reads the official synopsis.
When is the release date for Alan Ritchson’s War Machine movie?
Ritchson’s War Machine is officially scheduled to start streaming on March 6, exclusively on Netflix. Joining Ritchson in the action movie are Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point), Stephan James (If Beale Street Could Talk), Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad), Esai Morales (Bad Boys), Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale (The Flash), and Daniel Webber.
The movie is directed by Patrick Hughes, who also co-wrote the screenplay with James Beaufort. It is produced by Todd Lieberman and Alexander Young for Hidden Pictures, Patrick Hughes and Greg McLean for HUGE FILM, and Rich Cook for Range. Valerie Bleth Sharp is also serving as an executive producer. The creative team includes cinematographer Aaron Morton, editor Andy Canny, composer Dmitri Golovko, production designer Enzo Iacono, costume designer Cappi Ireland, and set decorator Emma Rudkin.
Last year, Ritchson starred in two action movies: RLJE Films’ Motor City with Shaileen Woodley and Playdate with Kevin James. Besides War Machine, he will also next be seen in Amazon MGM Studios’ action comedy The Man with the Bag, which will also be led by Arnold Schwarzenegger. In addition, Ritchson is also currently attached to star opposite Owen Wilson in the action thriller Runner.
