Scream 7 Teaser Video Offers Clue to New Ghostface’s Identity

A new Scream 7 teaser video provides some clues to the new Ghostface killer’s identity.

Paramount Pictures will release Scream 7 in United States theaters next month. Directed by Kevin Williamson, the new Scream movie will see Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox reprise their roles as Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers, while it also stars Isabel May as Sidney’s daughter, Tatum Evans.

What do we see in the Scream 7 teaser video?

In celebration of New Year’s Day, the official Scream Twitter account shared a short video that showcases the new Ghostface’s resolutions for 2026. The list includes “call old friends more [and] pay them a visit,” “make new friends [and] schedule more hangouts,” “do more cardio [and] build upper-body strength,” “sharpen the knife every night,” and always be prepared.”

While the Ghostface killers have often had some sort of connection to Sidney in the past, the “call old friends more” further suggests that Ghostface could be someone from her past. It’s known that Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley are returning for Scream 7, as they previously played Ghostface killers Stu Macher and Roman Bridger, though how they factor into the plot remains to be seen.

The official synopsis for Scream 7 reads, “When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”

With a supporting cast that further includes Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin, Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin, Joel McHale as Mark Evans, Anna Camp, Mckenna Grace, and more, Scream 7 arrives on February 27, 2026.
