What Nicole Kidman movie is now available on Prime Video today?

As of today, Kidman and Bullock’s Practical Magic is now officially available for streaming on Prime Video. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, it eventually became a cult classic among moviegoers. Nearly three decades after it was first released, Kidman and Bullock are finally reprising their respective roles as witchy siblings Gilly and Sally Owens in the upcoming 2026 sequel.

The original Practical Magic movie was directed by Griffe Dunne. It also starred Dianne Wiest, Stockard Channing, and Aidan Quinn. In the 1998 movie, Kidman and Bullock portrayed the respective roles of Gillian and Sally Owens, who are sisters that came from a long line of witches. They must team up together to channel their magic to destroy the malicious spirit of Gillian’s abusive boyfriend, Jimmy, before he harms them.

“It is a romantic tale of two sisters who discover the gift of Practical Magic. In a small, contemporary New England town, for two sisters from a family of witches, falling in love is the trickiest spell of all,” reads the official synopsis. “They struggle to use their gift for magically guiding fate to overcome their family curse: The men they fall in love with are doomed to an untimely death!”

Besides Bullock and Kidman, Practical Magic 2 will also feature the return of Wiest as Aunt Jet and Channing as Aunt Franny. It is being directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Griffin Dunne (An American Werewolf in London) from a screenplay written by original scribe Akiva Goldsman and Georgie Pritchett. The 2026 sequel will also star Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo MaridueƱa, and Solly McLeod.
