HBO Max has confirmed the upcoming addition of the first three John Wick movies to its streaming lineup, bringing Keanu Reeves’ action franchise to the platform at the start of 2026. According to ComicBook.com, John Wick, John Wick: Chapter 2, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum will all become available to stream on the platform on January 1, 2026.

Directed by Chad Stahelski and based on a story by Derek Kolstad, the John Wick series launched in 2014. It quickly gained a cult-like following. The first film introduced Reeves’ titular retired hitman. He is pulled back into the criminal underworld after a personal loss triggers a violent chain of events. The film holds an 86 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 225 reviews.

Released in February 2017, John Wick: Chapter 2 expands the scope of the story. Wick is bound by a blood oath to Italian crime lord Santino D’Antonio and forced to travel to Rome to fulfill the debt. The third entry, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, arrived in May 2019 and raised the stakes further. This forces him to fight for survival without the protection of the assassin network. The film holds an 89 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 358 reviews.

Across the films, Keanu Reeves leads the cast as John Wick. Supporting cast members in the franchise include Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Laurence Fishburne, among others.
