Marvel Fans Really Want Jordan Peele To Direct This MCU Movie
Marvel Studios’ rumored interest in collaborating with Oscar-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele has sparked speculation among fans about which movie he should direct. While no specific project has been confirmed, they have already rallied behind one clear choice.
Most Marvel fans had the same pick for Jordan Peele to direct
A recent rumor suggested that Marvel Studios is keen to collaborate with Jordan Peele as the studio reshapes its creative direction heading into the later stages of the Multiverse Saga and beyond. Shared by scooper Daniel Richtman, the rumor did not specify which project Peele might direct. However, it gained traction when the filmmaker’s production studio, Monkeypaw Productions, reacted to it. The studio replied with an emoji of a pair of eyes glancing sideways.
Thinking there could be some truth to the scoop, fans began to pick which movie Peele should direct. And there’s one clear winner.
On X (formerly Twitter), fans quickly began pitching ideas, with many comments pointing toward Marvel’s darker supernatural corner. Sharing the images of Blade and Ghostrider, a user wrote, “Either one of these two would be awesome to see from your vision. Or even a Midnight Sons adaptation! #MCU.”
Others were more direct, saying, “Please be Blade.” Another fan added, “Link up with Ryan Coogler and give us a Midnight Sons movie!”
Across the discussion, Blade came up as the most popular suggestion. The character’s live-action version first appeared on screen in 1998’s Blade, featuring Wesley Snipes, and is known for blending superhero action with vampire horror. Fans believe Peele’s background in genre storytelling makes him a natural fit for the MCU’s version of Blade, which seemingly remains in development after being removed from Marvel’s release calendar.
Further, the enthusiasm around Blade also overlaps with interest in a potential Midnight Sons movie, a team-up rumored to include darker Marvel characters. Fans also referenced Peele’s horror credentials while imagining what he could bring to a supernatural ensemble led by Blade.
Beyond Blade and Midnight Sons, some fans pointed to other horror-leaning Marvel properties. Moon Knight and Ghost Rider were all mentioned as characters whose tone could align with Peele’s filmmaking style. Rumors have also teased Marvel’s interest in introducing Ghost Rider to the MCU, either through a team project or a standalone film.
For now, Marvel has made no official announcement.
