Ready or Not 2 Scores Earlier Release Date for Horror Sequel Movie

Ready or Not 2 has scored an earlier release date.

Searchlight Pictures’ Ready or Not 2, also known as Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, arrives in United States theaters next year. A sequel to 2019’s Ready or Not, the movie will see Samara Weaving reprise her role as Grace MacCaullay, while Kathryn Newton will star as Grace’s sister Faith.

When is the new release date for Ready or Not 2?

Originally dated April 10, 2026, the release date for Ready or Not 2 has been bumped up by two weeks. This means it will now be released on March 27, 2026.

Had it kept its original release date, Ready or Not 2 would have opened the same date as You, Me & Tuscany, a new rom-com starring Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, meanwhile, opens the week before on April 3, as does The Drama with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.

Ridley Scott’s The Dog Stars was initially dated for March 27; however, that movie has been pushed back, with Ready or Not 2 taking its spot. Other films dated for March 27 include Warner Bros. Pictures’ They Will Kill You and Matthew Shear’s Fantasy Life.

The synopsis for Ready or Not 2 reads, “Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.”

Directed by Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the cast also includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Kevin Durand, Elijah Wood, and more.
