Avengers: Doomsday Has a New Title & Logo Overseas & Fans Don’t Like It

As 2025 draws to a close and Avengers: Doomsday approaches its release next year, Marvel Studios has started teasing the film. With teasers set to show before screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, the title for the film in Brazil is reportedly Vingadores: Doutor Destino, which translates to Avengers: Doctor Doom. Fans reacted to the different title on social media, and they don’t seem to be pleased.

Avengers: Doomsday has a different title in Brazil and fans despise it

A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared an image of the Avengers: Doomsday Portuguese title and logo from Brazil, which reads Vingadores: Doutor Destino. This translates to Avengers: Doctor Doom, instead of “Doomsday,” which is the subtitle elsewhere.

Fans reacted to this title variant, not seeming too happy about it. One fan replied in Portuguese under the post, writing, “This is the worst title I’ve ever seen.” Another user replied with an image of an Avengers title and logo reading, “Avengers: Destino Final,” writing, “This one here is much better.”

A fan wrote, “I saw a lot of translations from Spanish that turned into “Avengers: Judgement Day” that’s way better.” Another user commented, “This isn’t horrible, it’s just alot more straight to the point. It’s less conspicuous. It’s like calling Avengers Infinity War “Avengers Infinity Stones” or “Infinity Gauntlet.”

Avengers: Doomsday comes out in theaters on December 18, 2026, and the hype is gradually increasing. Additionally, one of four teaser trailers for the film will reportedly play before screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. These will be the first glimpses that fans get at the upcoming Marvel film. And in a turn of events, as per the first teaser, Chris Evans will reportedly return in Avengers: Doomsday.
