Tramell Tillman discusses his role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Speaking during the Golden Globes luncheon for first-time nominees at the Maybourne Beverly Hills hotel, the Severance actor reflected on both his upcoming Marvel role and the importance of representation. While Tillman remained tight-lipped about the specifics of his Spider-Man: Brand New Day character, he confirmed that the opportunity fulfills a long-held personal goal.
The actor said he had always hoped to be part of a superhero film, though the chance came sooner than expected. “I always wanted to be in that world. I used to watch DC Comics and Marvel all the time. To be a part of it is such a gift,” he shared.
Tillman also talked about the experience of working on the project, saying, “I was treated lovely. Everyone was wonderful.” The film will see him appear opposite Tom Holland, who returns as Peter Parker (via Variety).
Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues Peter Parker’s story following the events that erased his identity from the world’s memory. In the new film, Peter attempts to step back from his life as Spider-Man to focus on college, part-time work, and rebuilding a sense of normalcy. However, when a new and dangerous threat puts his friends in harm’s way, he is forced to break that promise and suit up again.
As the story makes its webs, Peter finds New York City is facing a mysterious force that begins to tear it apart from within. Caught between powerful enemies, lingering legacies, and unexpected allies, he must navigate a more isolated chapter of his life while redefining what it truly means to be a hero on his own. Tramell Tillman’s casting comes as Spider-Man 4 introduces new characters into Peter’s world, though their exact roles remain under wraps.
