Dave Bautista & Jason Momoa’s 2026 Action Movie Gets First Look Photos

Amazon MGM Studios has finally shared the first official photos from The Wrecking Crew, the upcoming buddy action comedy led by Guardians of the Galaxy vet Dave Bautista and Aquaman star Jason Momoa. The photos provide the audience with a first look at Bautista and Momoa’s characters, as they’re set play each other’s half-brother. This marks the duo’s latest collaboration, after previously starring together in 2021’s Dune movie.

“Set in the streets of Hawaii, this action comedy follows two estranged half-brothers, Jonny (Momoa) and James (Bautista), who are forced to reunite after their father’s mysterious death. As they set out to uncover the truth, buried secrets resurface, and loyalties are tested, unveiling a conspiracy that can tear their family apart. Together, they are ready to wreck anything that gets in their way,” reads the official synopsis.

The Wrecking Crew is directed by Blue Beetle filmmaker Ángel Manuel Soto, with Jonathan Tropper writing the script. The ensemble cast includes Claes Bang, Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Frankie Adams, and Miyavi, with Stephen Root and Morena Baccarin. The film is produced by Bautista, Momoa, Matt Reeves, Jeff Fierson, and Lynn Harris. It currently holds a total runtime of 122 minutes or 2 hours and 2 minutes.

At the moment, Momoa is currently attached to star in several high-profile movies, including the road comedy Animal Friends with Ryan Reynolds; the DC Universe movie Supergirl, where he’ll play iconic anti-hero Lobo; Dune: Part Three, reprising his performance as Duncan Idaho from the first installment; and the live-action Street Fighter movie. Meanwhile, Bautista will next be seen in the sci-fi comedy film Alpha Gang with Chris Pine and Cate Blanchett, and in Amazon MGM Studios’ Road House 2 with Jake Gyllenhaal. He’s also set to voice the main villain in the highly anticipated animated fantasy movie The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender.

The movie is slated to make its debut on January 28, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video.
