Henry Cavill’s Superman Gets a New Man of Steel Look

Zack Snyder recently took to social media to share an image of Henry Cavill’s Superman. He continues his spree of posting images from his archives, from the sets of his movies, including Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Dawn of the Dead, among others. Meanwhile, the fandom seems to have made it their mission to campaign for the revival of the Snyderverse, especially amid the recent announcement of Netflix’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.

Zack Snyder shares black and white look at Henry Cavill’s Superman

Zack Snyder only recently joined Instagram, staying consistent with sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses from his past movie sets. Quite often posting his own clicks from his DC superhero movie sets, Snyder recently shared a still of Henry Cavill as Superman from the sets of Man of Steel (2013). He captioned the picture, “henrycavill iconic.”

The image is a monochrome still of Cavill in his iconic Man of Steel Superman costume, during a fight scene from the film. Fans flooded the comments section, reading the hope symbol on Superman’s chest as a sign from Snyder to remain hopeful for the return of the Snyderverse. One fan wrote, “That symbol still means hope. Always did. #restorethesnyderverse,” while another commented, “I have a feeling Zack was already on to something I have hope.”

A few other fans wrote under the post, “Zack, you did not have to go that hard on this post!!!! But we love it!” and “PLEASE TELL US THAT WE ARE BACK #restorethesnyderverse.” While the return of the Snyderverse currently seems unlikely, especially after the success of James Gunn’s Superman with David Corenswet in the lead, the Netflix–Warner Bros. deal seems to have given fans renewed hope.

Meanwhile, the Man of Steel director also shared an image of Antje Traue as Faora in Man of Steel, with the caption, “@antjetraueofficial was awesome as Faora. Ferocious, elegant, and the way she moved was something else.”
