Hokum Teaser Trailer Previews Terrifying Adam Scott Horror Movie
NEON has shared the teaser trailer for Hokum, the upcoming supernatural horror movie starring Emmy Award nominee Adam Scott (Severance). It is scheduled to arrive in theaters sometime in 2026.
“When reclusive novelist Ohm Bauman (Scott) retreats to a remote Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, the staff’s tales of an ancient witch haunting the honeymoon suite take hold of his mind. Soon, disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance draw him into a nightmarish confrontation with the darkest corners of his past,” reads the official synopsis.

Who is involved in Hokum?
Hokum was written and directed by Damian McCarthy. The ensemble cast also includes Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh, Will O’Connell, Michael Patric, Siox C, Brendan Conroy, Austin Amelio, and Ezra Carlisle. The film is produced by Roy Lee and Steven Schneider for Spooky Pictures, Derek Dauchy for Image Nation, Tailored Film’s Ruth Treacy, Julianne Forde, and Mairtín de Barra. Executive producers include Cweature Features’ Ken Kao and Josh Rosenbaum, as well as Ben Ross, Dan Kagan, Rami Yasin, Andrew Childs, and Team Thrives’ Bryan Meng and Dr. Terence Chan.
Scott is no stranger to the horror genre, after previously appearing in 1996’s Hellraiser: Bloodline, 2006’s The Return, 2010’s Piranha 3D, 2015’s Krampus, and 2017’s Little Evil. He also most recently starred in Osgood Perkins’ film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Monkey short story. Besides Hokum, Scott will also next be seen in the dark comedy movie The Saviors with Ron Perlman and the crime thriller The Whisper Man with Robert De Niro.
