What happens in the Hit Me Hard And Soft trailer?

“No one’s shot a concert film on this scale before,” Cameron says in the trailer. “We’re using tech that’s never been used before.”

The Avatar filmmaker briefly left the world of Pandora to document Eilish during her global tour for Hit Me Hard and Soft, the singer’s third studio album. The movie will showcase several of Eilish’s performances at the concert as well as a behind-the-scenes look into her life during the tour. One of the emotional beats of the trailer features a teary-eyed Eilish reading a note from her brother and collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, who could not be at the concert.

Released in May 2024, Hit Me Hard and Soft debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, with 339,000 units sold in the first week. The album garnered seven nominations at the 2025 Grammys, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.

Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D) will be distributed globally by Paramount Pictures in association with Darkroom Records, Interscope Films, and Lightstorm Entertainment. Eilish and Cameron are listed as co-directors.

Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour (Live In 3D) opens in theaters on March 20, 2026.
